Nomination for BAU-trend AIT + Xia award at the BAU messe 2015!
Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb, together with the project partners (Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb,Beton Lučko Ltd., Knauf Insulation Ltd and EURCO d.d.) exhibited product ECO-SANDWICH® at the international trade fair BAU Messe 2015 (from 19th till 24th of January 2015.) as the first University outside of Germany whom organizer enable to exhibit their ideas, research and / or product. BAU 2015 is one of the World´s Leading Trade Fair for Architecture, Materials and Systems. The six days of this fair -in which all the exhibition space has long been fully booked – attracted 251,200 visitors: that is over 16,000 more than in 2013. Around 65,000 of the total number of visitors were from architectural and planning offices from all around the world (China, South Korea, Middle East, Turkey, Italy, Austria and others). Croatia was present by 11 exhibitors at the fair, among of more than two thousand exhibitors of building materials, technologies and systems on a total of 180,000 m2 of exhibition space. During the fair the ECO-SANDWICH® product was nominated for BAU-trend AIT + Xia award! 50 selected architect were looking for a new generation of innovative products. This study served as the basic for the nomination for the ten most mentioned novelties. This award represents a significant achievement of Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Zagreb at the world’s leading trade fair.

Gold medal on the International Exhibition of Inventions INNOVA 2014 in Brussels!
The 63th International Exhibition of Inventions INNOVA 2014 was held from 13 to 15 November in Brussels where seven Croatian innovation were presented. There won five gold, one silver and one bronze medal. ECO-SANDWICH® innovation, developed as a result of the cooperation of Croatian industry (Beton Lučko Ltd., EURCO and Knauf Insulation Ltd) and scientific institutions (Civil Engineering and Architecture faculty, University of Zagreb), won gold medal at the INNOVA 2014. Croatian innovation in the Brussels were represented in the organization of Croatian Association of Innovators and the Guild of the Knights of Croatian Innovation with the support of the Croatian Technical Culture, Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The expo gathered 168 exhibitors with 266 innovations from 15 countries from all five continents. More than 15 000 visitors saw exhibition. Innovation was rated by International Jury which was composed with 38 members with 38 percent of awarded innovations.
INOVA 2013 award for ECO-SANDWICH® panel !
The major international exhibition of innovations INOVA was held at the Zagreb International Fair as one of eleven leading world expos. It was the 38th anniversary of such exhibitions in Croatia. INOVA 2013 offer ample opportunities for domestic inventors and entrepreneurs as to meet their foreign colleagues and for placement of inventions on the Croatian market. INOVA 2013 attracted inventors from the neighboring countries (Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) as well as a number of longstanding business partners of the Croatian Inventors Association from USA, UK, Russia, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Spain, Iran and Romania. INOVA 2013 was organizired by The Croatian Inventors Association and the Croatian inventors which was sponsored by the Zagreb City Administration. GOLD MEDAL and INOVA Best Ecological Invention got ECO-SANDWICH consortium!
Best Croatian Green Economy Team!
In the presence of Minister of Environment and Nature Protection Mihael Zmajlović, head of City Department of Energy, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development of the City of Zagreb Marijan Maras, assistant Minister of Economy Department of Energy Kristina Čelić and project leader for the Enterprise Europe Network in Croatia Vesna Torbarina, ECO-SANDWICH consortium was awarded as “Best Croatian Green Economy Team”! Awards GREENOVATION 2013 for the Croatian top projects of green economy were handed by the Minister of Environmental and Natural Protection Michael Zmajlović adding: “Linking the economy and the environment is a key challenge if we want sustainable development in the Croatia and products and services that our competitive in the EU market.” With award “GREENOVATION” ECO-SANDWICH project has the right to free use and highlighting the “GREEN MARK – SIGN OF EXCELLENCE” for excellence in the green economy for five years, participate at the 38th Croatian Salon of Innovations with international participation INOVA and participate in the First Croatian green-tech and green-lifestyle fair GREENVEST: HOME EDITION.
